Somewhere in Time

                       Visiting our favorite vintage places

I really try to get out on weekends and do "pickin" for my shop but sometimes  (like right now),  we are truly snowed in here in Kentucky!!! I really collect too much stuff.   Like these hobby horses someone took the time to put on posts. What will I do with them? Still waiting to find out!

This is where we go, if we don't make the weekend because it is open 7 days a week!  I don't know where all the Peddler Malls are, but in Kentucky, Its a great idea! Lots of people with little booths under one roof! Oh the joy!!!

I never knew what my style was until I had time and money to really explore and buy a few things I love. So I'm taking advantage of it everytime I get a chance!

What would you call this? The main thing that comes to mind is "romantic vintage".  Does everyone think vintage is romantic, or is it just me?  My Grandmothers, Jessie and Carrie, and my Aunt Ruth drug me into every junk place they could find. Now I'm the Mamaw, and I'm trying to create a Grandparent kind of place my Grandbabies will remember when I go.

I want to tell you about a big flea market in Dumplin  Valley,       Tennesee you must go visit! If you are on your way to Pigeon Forge, you can't miss it!

My favorite booth is called "Someplace in Time".

I think most of us can agree .... this is vintage romance!

Another place we love is in Wears Valley, Tennessee

This post would not be complete without showing you some pictures of a place called "Irish Acres". It is an amazing collection of vintage and new treasures in an old school building. Located at "Nonesuch, Ky".

My daughters introduced me to this place and it is a dream!

If you go, be sure to eat lunch at the Glitz!!

So as we travel, and find interesting places
                                  And meet great people!

I will welcome you here to share our adventures and treasures we find along the way! Till then....find something that God shows you  that you love...and add it to your life!!!

One of my favorite things to do any day of the year is to go "pickin" with my husband or anyone else I can wrangle into it! A lot of my loot reminds me of my grandmother's houses. I always felt so safe and treasured there.

                                    Going on our "date"!
                                 American Pickers!!

Randomly putting in Magnolia Pearl's car just for inspiration!

And here is an old car we had to practice on! My real one is still in the garage where it has been for way too long!
I am glad for the snow storm because It made me settle down and work on my shops and blog.... finally!!! For now...good night from Kentucky!

Hello world!

I've been I've wanting to do a blog for a long time and wasn't really sure I would be that interesting!

I will just cut to the chase. I am a 62 year old Mom, Mamaw and Wife living in a little country house in the hills of Kentucky. I've been married 11 years to a really great guy who is very good to me. I would love to share some pictures of my life!

This is a picture of the front porch of my little country house that I have named " Wild Rose Cottage". I do some selling on ebay and etsy to make extra money and to stay sane from being so isolated!

I so love to read what all my sisters are doing where they are. Many are really blooming where they are planted and I am trying to do that too!

A glimpse of my husbands shop "Outback Hobbies". I started selling his radio control toys. When I came here this was a shed and I sort of "dolled it up!"

Now Im taking you to January 2016 to our property and sharing the winter pictures!

We are truly FROZEN IN TIME! In the picture is my little "Wild Rose Cabin". Still trying to get it set up and going with some treasures to sell and to be open to the public a few weekends a month.   The camper on the left has some serious work to be done inside and out so I can take my vintage loot on the road!

A winter view of the porch of "Outback Hobbies" The ultimate man cave!

Since I'm introducing myself, it wouldn't be complete unless I tell you that I am also an entertainer and sing for Benefits ect as Patsy Cline. I do tribute shows and talk about the real Patsy Cline. She has always been a huge inspiration to me.

Now you know a little bit about my life. Let me know if you are interested and I will share more.  God bless you and comments are welcome!
